Springfree Trampoline Helps Canadians

Springfree Trampoline Helps Canadians #SpringInto150

How do you make news, drive sales and elevate a unique, top-quality backyard accessory to must-have status? That was the challenge our SO social PR team faced when developing a multifaceted integrated marketing PR strategy for Springfree Trampoline – a pioneer in trampoline safety and creator of the world’s first smart trampoline.

Our Strategic Objectives team sprang into action with a traditional, social and experiential summertime program conceived to make news; attract new brand advocates and customers; create product demand; and drive sales.

Our innovative, interactive strategy tapped into excitement for Canada’s 150th birthday, aka #Canada150, starring two-time Canadian Olympic Gold Medal-winning trampolinist, Rosie MacLennan. The six-month campaign combined geo-local community activations; traditional and social media relations; and a large-scale charity event in downtown Toronto. Results were outstanding!

#SpringInto150 Facebook Contests and Backyard BBQs

Our program jumped off with Springfree #SpringInto150 regional Facebook contests in Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. Winners received their very own trampoline and an exclusive #Canada150 Backyard BBQ hosted by Canadian Olympian Rosie MacLennan herself, right in their own yard.

Rosie also attended community events, mixed and mingled, and took photos with the public.

Rosie was featured on top West Coast media outlets including Global Morning TV Vancouver, Global News TV Vancouver, CTV Morning Live Calgary, CBC Radio Calgary, 660 News Calgary and NewsTalk 980, to name just a few!

The Springfree Summer Jumpoff at Yonge-Dundas Square

To wrap up Rosie’s cross-Canada tour, Springfree took over Toronto’s massive Yonge-Dundas Square for a Summer Jumpoff to support Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

The event enlisted the public’s help to make a difference in the lives of fellow Canadians in need. Based on public participation in the event, Springfree donated ten trampolines to Cystic Fibrosis Canada to help with physiotherapy for those suffering with the disease.

Hosted by Rosie and fellow Olympians Karen Cockburn and Jason Burnett, the Jumpoff welcomed 152 families to jump for joy.

Our Springfree Summer Jumpoff earned Toronto Tier-A TV coverage on CityNews, CBC News, CP24 (times two!), plus The Sun Network, TSN Radio, NewsTalk 1010, 680 News, and more.

The Springfree Blogger Affiliate Program

Our Springfree program also included a unique affiliate program with Toronto parenting bloggers to build event buzz and drive sales.

A blogger program with a twist, bloggers received a custom, trackable discount code to share with their readers. The blogger received a unique incentive when redeemed with purchase.

Our Strategic Objectives team jumped for joy at the chance to help Springfree Trampoline reach new heights of awareness and sales across Canada. We would love to help you make news too!
